Book Review #2: The Bird With Broken Wings By: D L Richardson

Hello people of the world! Guess what? I have a new book review brought to you by the lovely D L Richardson. Drum roll please! And the book is: The Bird With The Broken Wings. This book was addictive even though at first I had no idea what was happening because I was in a whole new world. I think once again the suspense kept me reading. The beginning was a little slow paced and depressive all with the hard times Jet one of our main characters was going through. Her life is tough but shes still a optimist. Her father is a rich man who still wouldn't use some of his money on his daughters own prom dress and kept his wife and daughter tucked up in the house. Like prisoners, the mother was almost never allowed to use the money on things she would like. And if she did buy something she had to wash it various times to make it look ancient. Then are character Jet does something out of her misery she downs pills and alcohol blacking her out from the life that was hers.

The only things is when she wakes up she's not at home shes at a hospital with two other teenagers in the room. One a girl Rachel younger than her who is certainly bossy but had what seemed like a strong and good personality. She cares deeply for the second character Ben who Jet catches a liking too and he catches a liking to her as well. Which makes Rachel jealous of course. Ben was in the war and had gotten amnesia and forgotten his life. He doesn't mind though since he is living the life in a hospital with a pool (which Jet just seems to love into she gets attacked in it). This story was funny, dramatic, and romantic and is definitely recommended, the story picks up when Jet goes to the strange hospital and views it as a get away from her life. But things take a turn for the worst when she is attacked and nearly killed by a invincible monster in the pool. This is a great YA book and I love the characters even the crazy yet hot Ben who seems to not remember his past. I would give this book 4 stars out of 5. The writer D L Richardson makes the contact quick and sweet with remarkable details in the between. And yes it was a VERY creative story idea since it has nothing to do with the main character being a werewolf or vampire. Points to that. All I can say is you must read this story is different, funny, and dramatic everything a teen wants in there life.

Book Review #1: Shudder By: Samantha Durante

  Hi everybody,
It's me, your trusty stead of a reviewer here to...well review. This is my first ever book review on my blog and it kicked of with a BANG!  This story made me gasp with joy  (Okay I'm exaggerating a bit still enjoy the picture to the side) We have a book from Samantha Durante a already skyrocketing YA author of the dystopian series Stitch. I'm reviewing the second book in Stitch which is so far fairly interesting. This book started with a shall I saw mysterious plot that kept me intrigued and grappling for more. I needed to know what was going on (because of course I didn't know until I was on the 30th page I started on the second book). Yet the suspense allured me to keep reading even though I didn't know what the heck it was about in the beginning. This story takes place in a dystopia society in the future year of 2114. Humans at the time live a life of "Dramas" kind of like living out a movie or acting out a scene from a play. This indeed is not there real like but they are convinced wholeheartedly it is. Which I found totally creepy imagining living a life that isn't your own and not knowing? Like a never ending dream. Between the humans "Drama" lives, work, and the drugs that the government is pumping into there system they don't seem to know what is real or fake and are missing out on there real problems there society which is ruled by a somewhat (Very what) much inimical government. That's something that would make even Lady Gaga say Yikes!

But don't worry people, we have are hero and heroine two teens who are in a romantic relationship (Cue the giggling) The kind that makes you look up form the book; make voice and detail that author gives in this story is enticing it leads me to another word and keeps me there a hard task only great authors can accomplish. These characters pull is in to there horrifying life and gees I wish I was as knowledgeable as them and yes I used the word knowledgeable to sound smarter don't judge. I practically like the character Alessa the bad ass girl with a super power to feel emotions and things around her. Her character draws me into the book as she fights to survive and save the society people from the fiction that is there lives. But of course there are people after her in the government that just have to make her life a living hell. Along with her is that boy she gets romantic with Issac. There is also another character that I sympathized for and enjoyed intently Regina the leader of the rebels who where against the government. Samantha Durante deserves to be even more well known amongst the other YA writers. If you like Legend and Across the Universe you'll devour this book!
Alessa's not as bad ass as Black Widow but shes still cool.

Of course there are somethings I have to point out. Even though there not much maybe at the beginning of the story the author should have done a small recap of the past story for readers who happen to pick up the series in out of order. Other than that everything is great so far! From the lovable characters, to the thrilling suspense, and into the twisted world that is Paragon. So I do recommend this book to lovers of the dystopian genre and until next time keep reading and I'll keep reviewing. ;)

Welcome

Hello And Welcome:

Hey my peeps, sup, hows a doing, what's shakin' bacon?  Theres many ways to introduce myself but I'll just be straightforward hello and welcome to Books From You To Review. I'm Bailey (Cue: Hello Baileys.) and a generous teenage girl who enjoys reading YA books way too much! I as a heavy reader decided one day to give out YA (Young Adult) book reviews. What's better than to have a teenager review a YA book herself? Nothing! I'll give truthful insights on your book and will have the review done and polished in 2-5 days
(Varying on  book size). I'm kind but not insightful and like to get down to the point. I'll tell you what makes the book outrageous and what it lacks; and no I'm not one of those teens who does this just for fun. I do it in all seriousness since I would also love to be a fellow writer one day. I guarantee that my work will be professional and I'll recommend the book (If enjoyed) to friends and family. Since all writers know the key to selling is word of mouth....

Last but not least, (Cue: Drum roll) I require no book review fee and review books for free as long as they are YA. All YA subjects will be read whether they are fiction or nonfiction. If you are interested in any more specific information please contact me at my email above.

 Well Wishes, Bailey.
